What is the law that allows you to buy alcohol 24 hours before your 21st birthday?

While drinking with my friend at a Applebees, he told me of a law that allows people to buy alcohol before their 21st birthday. he called it "Age of Majority", but thats just a term... not a law/rule. he also said that places with a liquor license will know of it/ have a book that will reference it.

is he full of crap, or is there such a thing? If so, whats it called? How do i "invoke" its alcoholicy goodness?

and yes my 21st birthday is tomorrow.

He's full of crap. Probably he ran in to a nice bartender who felt sorry for him and gave him the bull**** story 24 hours before he turned 21.

There isn't one. The law states you have to be 21. Someone is full of crap.

doesn't sound right but its worth a shot.

He is full of crap, however Applebees never cards so go there

If they made a law like that..then the governemnt isnt worrying about whats important..lol

SORRY, HE'S FULL OF CRAP. YOU ARE NOT 21, 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR BIRTHDAY

Well, in most places you can start at 12:01AM on the day of your birthday, so if you were born late at night that could be up to 24 hours early. The age of majority is 18 or 19 (depends on the state) so I don't know what that has to do with anything.
