How do one go about earning a law degree?

Please include steps (including taking pre-law). Im not sure how that whole thing work but I have a friend who wants to be a lawyer.

You enroll in college and get a 4 year degree. You can get a degree in pretty much any subject, including pre-law, accounting, political science, journalism, psychology, etc. Then you take the LSAT exam. It usually is offer 2 times a year. After taking the LSAT exam, you apply to Law Schools for admissions.
