What would happen if by law all cars had to be bright yellow minis?

What would happen if by law all cars had to be bright yellow minis? What are the positives and negatives - mainly positives?

Positive: All cars would be very visible, so there might be less accidents.

Negative: All cars would look alike, so the police would have a lot of trouble following the correct car in a pursuit. Finding your car in a crowded parking lot would be almost impossible. And there would be zero pride of ownership.

Now, if all cars had to be black Turbo-Carreras, at least there would be pride of ownership to a certain extent, even though all of the other points would still be true.

General motors would go bankrupt resulting in a devastating impact on the American economy particular in places like Detroit. Along with General motors, all other car companies besides BMW would cease production. This would be enough to turn the majority of the world into a recession, if not a depression. The only country to escape the greatest financial tragedy in the modern world would be Germany. A high demand would be placed on BMW for there MINI which would result in increased prices. With such a sick economy this would cause only the wealthy to be able to drive cars. Any hopes to revive from the depression would be diminished by the lack of suitable transport for builders, resulting in 0% growth in infrastructure. The way in which people live there lives would be dramatically changed, for the most part in a negative way.

however as a positive, how awesome are yellow minis!?!?

Positive = In a car accident they can't claim they didn't see you.

Negative = Getting a taxi would be near impossible

Wake up and realize you had a bad Dream
