What is Social Security law in Washington State if your suppose to receive part of a trust and want to opt out?

Does anybody know what the Social Security law is in Washington State if your suppose to receive part of a trust and want to opt out?I have heard in some states you are not allowed to opt out of a trust and continue receiving S.S.I. Any help and links would be appreciated.

I got alot of my legal questions answered this way

also I live in Seattle and dealt with Social Security before

I think you can opt out of it, but I would go see an attorney for a one time consultation to find out if you could get both. If the trust is to help you with Basic Needs like Dental Work, furniture, clothing, transportation, etc, you can use the money for basic needs. You can have a Basic Needs Trust as you might need the money for moving or medicine or basic bills that Social Security sometimes does not pay.
