What is the process for getting a law passed in your community?

I'm just curious to hear from anyone who has tried to get a law passed where they live, what kind of process they had to go through in order to accomplish this... or any people that know the system well enough to answer this question.

You can have an issue placed on a ballot, and voted on in the community. You need to get enough signatures, it varies from place to place. You can put just about anything on the ballot, like, say, you don't want people to wear orange shirts on Tuesdays. It costs money though, and lots of time, so generally only serious concerns get on ballots.

Just approach the LCOAL REPRESENTATIVE either from the LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY or the PARLIAMENT....but u would always need PUBLIC SUPPORT or say a backing from ur community...
