What is the difference between the law of attraction and prayer?

That both seem to serve the same purpose. Is there a difference? The reason I ask is that if you think of something, or visualize something that you want, whether it be some object, and experience or and outcome; and you have faith that it will become, then isn't that the same energy as prayer? So, wouldn't that make prayer simply another concept of law of attraction? Are they both simply the power of the mind? Because I seem get the same results from both.

Now that definitely changes the whole landscape, doesn't it? If we have the power to attract simply by the power of thought and imagination, then what does that say about prayer?

Nothing!

I believe that "the Law of Attraction" is more usefull because you realize that it is ultimatetly your own actions or inactions that make your future not just a hand out, although some people are just given DREAMLIFE on a Platinum Platter...

I think you have nailed it, It's Faith what they both have in common , believing with out yet seeing , knowing it will happen, that your prayer request , or intention has manifested. I think that regardless of your beliefs Jesus was the ultimate teacher of this law. he said "if your faith was like the size of a mustard seed, you could move mountains."

Well that's basically it, ASK , BELIEVE, RECEIVE!

The universe propels us forward, with our intentions, and i think when there is a lack of faith (it's like a negative energy spot) it becomes stagnant , it just hold us there, slows us down. Keep moving Forward, that's the real "secret" .

God
