Only you could answer that question. You're young enough to try both, then make a final decision for a career. As far as your unusual sense of humor. Sometimes that's all it takes to keep your sanity. Good luck.
I have the same passion that you are describing and nothing else interests me. I think that you should go on to do what your passion leads you to if it is a deep passion, find out in what area of law you enjoy and study it but if that is what you want go for it... GOOD LUCK http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20070410070212AAun9js&kid=GplUWFX1Nm4w5LeHjYhF&s=comm&date=2007-08-21+16%3A20%3A24&.crumb=

Go with your heart, you only live once.
You don't sound like you have the persona to be an attorney. You don't sound like you could go into court and victimize an abused child or raped woman so a perpetrator could go free.
Police Officer is an honorable profession, you help people who can't help themselves. We need good officers.
Check with some local law enforcement agencies and see if they will allow you to do a ride-along. It will give you a first-hand look at what an officer deals with. If you think you can handle it, give it a shot and take some CJ classes. If you think you'd be better suited to practicing law, take the appropriate classes and become a prosecutor, not an attorney!!!
What??? Go to college and study criminal justice, or pre law, or history, or something esoteric then go to LAW SCHOOL! Don't be happy with being an admin assistant (unless that is your passion), be a lawyer!
Go to Law School and become a judge.
Get as much education as you can while yo uare young.
It's easier to relearn something at 35 that you learned at 20, than it is to learn something for the first time at 35 that you never knew at 20.
Go to law school.
Go to college. I know the idea of spending 4 more years in school is not appealing, but you will make so much more money and have so many more oppertunities in the future. If you can't afford it, apply for Federal Student Aid. Apply for any scholarships you can. If you even have to take out student loans, do that.
It also really depends on what you want to do. Do you want to be in Law Enforcement or do you want to be an attorney.
When I graduated High School, I enlisted in the National Guard. They will pay for 100% of your college tuition and you make a couple hundred extra every month in pay, your bonus, and GI Bill. Right now, I am in the Military Police Corps Active, and working on a degree in Criminology. The army gave me the the training background I need, which i can couple with my education to hopefully get a great job in the FBI.
