Is there a law that would prohibit Bill Clinton from holding a cabinet post if Hillary is elected?

If, that is, she wins the nomination and the election. I've seen several answers that say it is against the law for her to give him a cabinet job, and others that say there is no law against it. At the risk of sounding ignorant, I have never heard of such a law before. Is there one?

I don't think there is such a law. JFK's brother was Attorney General and few people really had an issue with it. They all have to be confirmed by the Senate anyway.

Nope.

I do not believe there is such a law on the books anywhere.

However the ethics committees will have a field day with the moral standing of this issue.

Of course they will not be talking about themselves getting family and friends into position of key importance because the ethics committees are truly above such reproach.

Not LOL

No law just the simple fact she isn't going to win the election. She has way too many skeletons in her closet.

There isn't any such law as far as I'm aware. Of course, all cabinet members must be OK'd by the senate.

hahahahaha! the witch will make it happen....

Yes. Following the death of Robert Kennedy, Congress passed what is commonly known as the "Bobby Kennedy Law" which prohibits the President from appointing relatives to cabinet positions.
