How does one have to go to law school to run for a senate seat?

I have no political experience but I am interested in how one begins a career in this field. I have a master's but I can not afford to go to law. I would like to know how I can run for state representative position.

There's no rule about going to law school to hold elective office (Ronald Reagan, for example, was clearly not a lawyer). The only requirement is a minimum age level (usually 25 years old for state representative).

One does not have to be a lawyer to run for the Senate. It merely seems that way because so many are.

A LAW DEGREE IS NOT REQUIRED....IF YOU WANT TO LEARN HOW WORK FOR SOMEONE WHO IS ALREADY RUNNING

No,but you have to be a Liar and a Thief. Maybe you do have to be a Lawyer on second thought.

You don't have to be a lawyer or know anything about the law. In fact, I strongly advise you not to go to law school ever.

you don't need to go to law school to run for elected office.
