How can i respect the law if i feel as though the government is the antichrist?

Someone please help me. I constantly find myself disobeying the law..even if its minor things like running red lights and driving on suspended license. I have no respect for it. I feel like the government is a conspiracy and they are getting over on me. Why should I have to obey these laws made by a government who isn't being true to me? Does God want us to follow the laws of the land?

Running red lights? My best friend just lost his granddaughter because some punk asshole ran a red light, and you think you have the right to do that?

listen, following driving rules is out of courtesy for other people, if someone hit you because they ran a red light maybe you would feel differently about disregarding the law. The laws like traffic laws are and to this idea should be followed, if you mean that the gov is Antichrist dint follow the Antichrist laws, but stopping at a stop sign i think god would be fine with. its a safety measure.

we have places for those who fail to conform to laws designed to make society safer. (ie for those who continualy ignore the law). Sorry bucko--but if you don't like this country then don't let the door hit you in the **** on the way out--or else stay and well see you get three square meals a day and a big roomate who likes guys. I've run into whiney little snot noses like you my whole life--cowards really for the most part.

The only law we as Christians are allowed to disobey is the law inspired by satan. Example: legal abortion and legal homosexual marriage. All other laws are ok (so far).

The bible makes VERY clear that as a good Christian you are obliged to follow the "law of the land", Romans 13:1-2 tell us to be in subjection to the superior authorities even as we are to God. further, we are to be in relative subjection to kings and governors as they have their positions due to God's allowance. (1Peter 2:13-17) Considering it as obeying God, we would want to view obeying tax laws and traffic laws as the same whether someone is watching or not. That is part of what Christian integrity means. Only when man's laws conflict with God's as when early Christians were ordered by Jewish and Roman courts to stop preaching about Christ did they refuse. (Acts 5:41)

Or by taking part in the governments. Matt. 6:24 shows we can not serve 2 masters. John 18:36 shows Jesus talking to the Roman government that his Kingdom was no part of this world so his followers were not either. (Mark 12:17; John 15:19; 17:16)

But God is most likely imaginary, so go ahead and be a scofflaw, what's the worst that could happen, they take all your money and lock you up forever? As a "conspiracy" theorist you were expecting that anyway, right?

God commands us to obey those in authority over us.

Yes, the Bible says to pay Caesar's things to Caesar. The only time you don't obey the laws of the land is when it directly conflicts your worship of God.
