Does Florida law allow mobile home associations to prohibit their shareholders from renting out their units?

Furthermore, if no such law exists, is it legal for the home owners’ association to make it extremely difficult for shareholders to rent out their units?

If the homeowner association to which you belong has such a provision preventing rentals, then it is legal. There is no state law making such a proviso illegal.

u need to read the offering plan, each home association has its own specification in terms of subletting. its noted in the offering plan. ask the managin agent if u can come by and read it.
