Is there an existing law in the Philippines which protects an employee from salary reduction?

Is there any Labor Law in the Philippines that gets violated if an employer reduces the salary of its employee by 40% due to company losses/for austerity measures? If so, what law/s?


They cannot reduce the salary retroactively, but they can reduce salary for future periods.

Your chioce is to stay at the reduced rate, or leave.
